ULM STOOL REPLICA

Swiss designer, architect and artist, Max Bill, designed the Ulm stool in 1954 for the newly-founded Ulm College of Design. The Ulm Stool was designed for the purpose to develop inexpensive seating for students despite a lack of funds in the past. Today, the piece is known as one of Max Bill’s best-known pieces and an exemplary icon of the sleek minimalist style of 20th century mid-century modern Swiss design.

Similar to the original design, the Ulm Stool replica is hand-sawed without the use of any adhesive, screws or nails. Accurate measurements and workmanship is required to achieve a good fit within the forty finger joints on the stool.
