OVERLAY
Bare Conductive paint is a unique medium that is non-toxic, solvent free and water soluble while being electrically conductive.
This projects explores the function of this unique medium by using simple materials to create an simple table lamp without the use of heavy wiring and circuits.

Inspired by the moiré effect, the slick and precise structure of the table lamp is designed in a way that the lines are correspondent but, when movement is incorporated, the visual shuttering effect could be seen. These black lines are painted using bare conductive ink.

Layered within the core lies the LED lights which emit a gentle, warm blue colour. Upon sliding the lamp, the conductive lines touch each other to complete the circuit and the LED lights activates.
Through the careful printing and layering of the paint and precise folding of paper, the Overlay table lamp produces light using only Bare Conductive ink, batteries and an LED strips.
